Hello, and welcome to Giving Hope in Hampton Roads. My name is Karen Whaley. I am the Founder and President of Giving Hope in Hampton Roads. Our organization was founded by myself and my daughter, Julie Corbin. When we first started it was just the two of us and our families. Now, we’re fortunate to have an all-volunteer team from all walks of life. Our volunteers bring their own unique expertise and resources into everything that we do. They enable us to achieve our goals event after event.

Our Mission

  Giving Hope in Hampton Roads is an all-volunteer, not-for-profit organization. Our mission focus is helping other non-profits, individuals, families, animal rescues, food banks, churches, schools, museums, and other organizations in the Hampton Roads area. We do this by hosting craft and vendor events to help raise money for our beneficiary’s needs and goals.     

  We are based out of Poquoson, Virginia. However, we service all of Hampton Roads, from Williamsburg, VA to Virginia Beach, VA. We are actively seeking out venues to host our events for the many emails and phone calls for help that we receive on a regular basis. We ask venues to donate their space and time for us to host events. This enables us to give or funds collected via donation or vendor fees directly to the beneficiary.
